As a first-generation college student, Itzel Cruz has always viewed education as an opportunity to create new possibilities—not only for herself but for those around her. Her passion for business and marketing began with a curiosity about how organizations build meaningful relationships with the people they serve. She quickly discovered that effective communication, thoughtful branding, and creative storytelling have the power to make even the most complex ideas approachable and impactful.
Itzel joined Sun Wealth Advisor in the summer of 2025 as a Financial Marketing Assistant while attending West Valley College. Her long-term goal is to build a career in marketing where she can combine creativity, strategy, and innovation to help businesses strengthen their brands and better connect with their communities.
During her internship, Itzel has taken a leading role in redesigning and rebranding the Sun Wealth Advisor website, helping transform it into a more modern, engaging, and client-focused experience. She has contributed to website development, content creation, branding initiatives, digital marketing, and client communications, while continually seeking ways to improve the firm's online presence and educational resources.
Known for her creativity, dependability, and strong work ethic, Itzel approaches every project with enthusiasm and a willingness to learn. She values collaboration and believes that the best ideas come from working together to solve meaningful challenges.
Outside of the office, Itzel enjoys photography, hiking, dancing, and cooking—creative outlets that inspire her curiosity and appreciation for new perspectives. Whether she's exploring nature with a camera in hand or developing new marketing ideas, she brings the same passion, attention to detail, and positive energy to everything she does.
